Advanced Patient Monitoring System with Diseases Prediction System using Machine Learning

 Abstract: IoT and machine learning (ML) are becoming increasingly efficient in the medical and telemedicine areas all around the world. This article describes a system that employs latest technology to give a more accurate method of forecasting disease. This technology uses sensors to collect data from the body of the patient. The obtained sensor information is collected with NodeMcU before being transferred to the Cloud Platform "ThinkSpeak" through an ESP8266 Wi-Fi module. ThinkSpeak is a cloud server that provides real-time data streams in the cloud. For the best results, data currently saved in the cloud is evaluated by one of the machine learning algorithms, the KNN algorithm. Based on the findings of the analysis and compared with the data sets, the disease is predicted and a prescription for the relevant disease is issued.

A Novel Undistorted Image Fusion and DWT Based Compression Model with FPGA Implementation for Medical Applications

 Abstract: The usage of a fused image and compressed model in a VLSI implementation is demonstrated. In this study, distortion correction is also considered. In distortion correction models, least-squares estimate is utilized. The technique of picture fusion is widely employed in medical imaging. Many pictures are obtained from various sensors (or) multiple images are captured at different times by one sensor in the image fusion approach. CT scans give useful information on denser tissue with the least amount of distortion. The information obtained from a magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) of soft tissue with significant distortion is useful. The DWT-based image fusion approach employs discrete wavelet transforms, a novel multi-resolution analytic tool. Back mapping expansion polynomial is used to reduce computer complexity. Using 0.18um technology, the suggested VLSI design achieves 218MHz with 1480 logical components.

Psoralen Promotes Myogenic Differentiation of Muscle Cells to Repair Fracture

 Abstract: Myogenic differentiation requires to be exactly explored for the effective treatment of fracture. The speed of healing is affected by skeletal muscle, linked to activation of specific myogenic transcription factors during the repair process. In previous study, we discovered that psoralen enhanced differentiation of osteoblast in primary mouse. In the current study, we show that psoralen stimulates myogenic differentiation through the secretion of factors to hone the quality of repair in fractured mice. 3-month old mice were treated with corn oil or psoralen followed by a tibial fracture surgery. Fractures were tested 7, 14, and 21 days respectively later by histology and images observation. Skeletal muscles including soleus muscle and posterior tibial muscle around the damaged bone were collected for quantitative real-time PCR, HE staining, as well as western blot. Daily treatment with psoralen at seven, fourteen days or twenty-one days improves protein or mRNA levels responsible for the whole myogenic differentiation process, makes the muscle fibers more tightly aligned, and promotes callus formation and development. This data shows that high levels of myogenic transcription factors in the process of fracture healing in mice foster the repair of damaged muscles, and indicates a pharmacological approach that targets myogenic differentiation to improve fracture repair. This also reflects the academic thought of "paying equal attention to both muscles and bones" in the prevention and treatment of fracture healing.

 Abstract: “Public Policy Analysis” involves in the evaluation of issues of public importance with objective of providing facts and statistics about extent and impact of different policies of Government. Nowadays, public policy analysis is undertaken by scholars from different applied physical and biological sciences (e.g. technology assessments, environmental impact studies, seismic risk analyses, etc.). Presently, the focus is on public policy analysis as it is conducted within the social and behavioural sciences, mainly Political Science, Sociology and Economics. Generally, the public policy addresses real or sensed problems, so the public policy analysis is mostly devoted to defining or clarifying the problems and assessing the needs. Main objective of public policy analysis is to assess the degree to which policies are meeting their aims. Policy analysis plays an important role to define and outline the aims of a proposed policy, and also has role to identify the similarities and differences in expected outcomes and estimated costs with competing the alternative policies. Several public policies are formulated to solve both the current and future problems, and so the policy analysis attempts to forecast future requirements based on present concomitant with the past conditions. A large number of works in the field of public policy analysis involves for the development of the conceptual schemes or typologies which help to sort out different types of policies, or analyses of policies. Many literatures on public policy analysis, and especially on impact evaluation are chiefly methodological in character; indeed, many recent innovations in research procedure have been developed by research scholars working on applied problems. Many texts in ‘evaluation research’ recommend an assessment of the ‘evaluability’ of the programme prior to initiate the evaluation itself. ‘Implementation analysis’ is an essential component of all capable policy evaluations. ‘Utilisation’ is an ongoing problem in the field of evaluation research. Evaluation results affect the public policy by serving as the impetus for public discourse and debate which form social policy, rather than through extensive programme termination or reform.

 Abstract: In recent years, the province's health sector has applied and applied many scientific and technical advances in health, information technology (IT) into its activities. As a result, it has brought about great achievements in professional work, especially in disease prevention and treatment, and IT application is also one of the breakthroughs of the provincial health sector. Our study objectives: showing Achievements in cancer treatment in Bai Chay hospital-Quang Ninhand presenting Lessons from other countries such as Japan in cancer treatment. By using methods of cross-sectional descriptive study. For Research period: from June 2019 to May 2020, Our study results and conclusions: We see from above figure that the highest ratio of 40% belong to health status in stage 1 (with not influence). And then, the lowest ratio of 12.9% is belonging to patients in stage 1 with very much influence, and so on. Then, Patients living quality at levels of no effect, little influence, great influence and great influence all accounts for about 25%.

 Abstract: Thermal cameras are useful devices that are used in many different situations, such as quality control, system maintenance, structural repair, security, medical, monitoring, treatment and diagnose human health or to research and develop advanced technological components. It provides visual temperature information that cannot be perceived by the human senses. Gade & Moeslund (2014) specified that Thermal cameras are passive sensors that capture the infrared radiation emitted by all objects with a temperature above absolute zero. This type of camera was originally developed as a surveillance and night vision tool for the military, but recently the price has dropped, significantly opening up a broader field of applications. Our study shows With basic functions that can be used such as non-contact body temperature measurement, maintenance, maintenance, quality inspection and repair of electronic, electromechanical, telephone, chip, IC, over temperature detection, electrical system lines, underground cables, recessed walls, utilities, gas leak detection, ventilation furnaces, fireplaces, etc., the device can be a useful and effective civil tool.

In some situations, such as recognizing objects and playing games, deep learning performed significantly better than people did. One more industry that appears to have a lot to gain from deep learning is the medical field.  Abstract: The Target of today’s healthcare system is delivering medicine directly from the manufacturer to end-user. The pharmaceutical supply chain involves distributors, manufacturers, wholesalers, and customers. The biggest challenge related to this supply chain is temperature monitoring also as counterfeit drug prevention. Many drugs and vaccines remain viable within a selected range of temperatures. If exposed beyond this temperature range, the drugs do not work as intended. Many of the world’s top-selling medicines are sensitive and need cold-chain shipping, i.e., storing goods during a temperature-controlled environment. Keeping the drugs cold is an important a part of the availability chain that connects drug producers to patients. But storing the essential information associated with cold-chain shipping in centralized databases is often susceptible to manipulations or data hacks. Also, the present software doesn't have tracking capability of maintaining a full chain of identity. One of the most reliable solutions would be the integration of IoT sensors with blockchain. To store the essential information related to cold-chain shipping in a blockchain network so, it becomes impossible for the data to get manipulate by anyone unlike centralized databases.

 Abstract: Minimum Health Protocols can take the form of social distancing, wearing of face mask and applying proper hygiene to avoid infections and diseases. This study explored the challenges encountered by the jail officers in Misamis Occidental Provincial Reformatory Jail in Capitol Drive, Oroquieta City, Misamis Occidental. The study were participated by 10 jail officers. interview and guide questions were used in gathering the data. The study used the qualitative approach using the phenomenological design. Moustakas’ transcendental phenomenology was used in analysis the data to come up with seven meaningful theme; Suspension of visiting privilege, Strenuous implementation of health protocol, Immediate Isolation for COVID-19 Infected, High risk of Covid-19 infection, Affected Duties due to COVID-19 Infection and Quarantines, Acceptance of Being Carriers of COVID-19 Virus, and Adhering to health protocol. Encountering minimum health protocols has its various effects depending on the illnesses they experience such as the Covid-19 virus it has the huge impact to everyone.

A Five-Year Fire Incidents Data Analysis in the City of Ozamiz

 Abstract: Fire incidents in any cause may lead to a devastating effect to the community or family where the fire incident happens. It is considered as an accident that could destroy properties of the family in a very short period of time. This study determined the five-year trend analysis of fire incidents in Ozamiz City using the available historical data from 2016-2021. The study employed retrospective method of research. Since it is a retrospective study, the result of interest has already occurred, and the data obtained is from records, no volunteers will be used in this study. However, the Bureau of Fire Protection Officers of Ozamiz City will offer the study's relevant data. According to the findings, electrical related fire incidents are the most common cause of fire in Ozamiz City, whereas LPG related fires are the least likely to cause fires. It is suggested that Ozamiz City's Bureau of Fire Protection hold monthly lectures or programs on fire safety and prevention in the community. Ozamiz City residents should exercise caution when leaving their homes and avoid using the octopus connection to avoid power outages. Furthermore, staff from Ozamiz City's Bureau of Fire Protection should conduct more frequent fire inspections in the city's businesses.

Generating the Trends and Forecast of Crime Rates in Ozamiz City, Philippines

 Abstract: Crime is considered as a serious issue. It makes people worried on their own safety especially when the crime rate is increasing. The study generated the trend analysis and forecasted data of the recorded crimes in Ozamiz City using autoregressive integrated moving average through the GRTEL software. Results showed that majority of the crimes recorded decreased from 2018 to 2021. These include crimes against person, crimes against property, crimes against personal liberty and security and violations against special laws particularly the comprehensive dangerous drugs Act of 2002. However, the violators who resisted persons in authority drastically increased. On the other hand, forecasted data revealed that most of the crimes will most likely increase in occurrence in the year 2022 and will be stabilized in the remaining years. The data gathered from this study can be used by the different law enforcement agencies in planning and creating intervention strategies towards mitigating the occurrence of crimes in Ozamiz City.

 Abstract: Peacekeeping is the important function of the Barangay Peacekeeping Action Team in their respective barangay, BPAT visibility is the one main focus of this peacekeeping activity. Hence, this study was conducted to determine the level of performance of the Barangay Peacekeeping Action Team (BPAT) in regards to their skills in patrolling, identifying violation in the community, basic self-defense skills and crowd control skills of selected Barangays in the City of Ozamiz during COVID-19 pandemic. The researchers employed a descriptive-correlational type of research characterized by gathering data from 100 respondents from the selected barangays in Ozamiz City. Moreover, survey questionnaire was used to gather the data. Furthermore, mean and standard deviation were the statistical tool used in the data analysis. Results revealed that the majority of Barangay Peacekeeping Action Team (BPAT) officers were very responsive in safeguarding and patrolling the neighborhood during the day and night while on the state/verge of pandemic. BPAT officers are highly knowledgeable and visible in securing their respective communities through ronda or patrol activity. BPAT officers also perform intelligence monitoring during the pandemic. The findings may provide additional information to the PNP and may give insights to the institution for the improvement of the performance of the Barangay Peacekeeping Action Team (BPAT) at the barangay level. Lastly this study recommends to maintain the BPAT’s excellent performance, and if possible to retrain them in upgrading the skills, and to have constant monitoring and evaluation of their performance and to establish a wider coverage of study or can be done to the entire city.

 Abstract: The No shoes no travel policy declares that it will secure and protect its citizens, particularly motorcycle operators or drivers and their passengers, from the devastating and extremely injurious effects of fatal or life-threatening accidents and crashes. This study determined the cause and insight of the motorist towards the experience of ordinance in No Shoes, No Travel Policy in Ozamiz City, Misamis Occidental. It composed five motorists, who were voluntarily participated the study, and was selected through the following inclusion criteria:11) driver not less than five years; 2) residence in Ozamiz City, and; 3) have experience in committing traffic violation. There were four (4) themes identified in the study, namely environment condition and emergency pushes a driver to commit a violation, wasted money as a result of a violation, calmness and acceptance in the violation and realization and understanding the purpose of the ordinance. The findings of the study shows that motorists face a variety of issues, which causes the drivers to break the ordinance as a result of the poor weather condition, makes them to disregard the ordinance regulating their safety. It was recommended to the drivers that always have a spare pair of shoes so that if one gets wet it may be replaced with a dry one, and be extra careful in wet weather. The researchers further recommend drivers to obey the ordinance in order to avoid paying a penalty that beyond their financial means, as well as to avoid large medical expenses in the hospital if they get injured or wounded as a result of disregarding the ordinance.

 Abstract: Closed Circuit Television (CCTV) camera have recently become an indispensable part of daily life. Cameras are of vital importance as significant elements of security systems in different buildings and establishments such as houses, stores, and shopping malls. Also, millions of CCTV cameras are installed in streets with the goal of reducing crimes, preventing crimes, and increasing public safety. Effectiveness of the installation of CCTV cameras in relation to crime prevention aims to determine the effectiveness of CCTV cameras in the selected barangays of Ozamiz City, usefulness in crime prevention with respect to traffic violations, crimes against person and crimes against properties and to propose an action-based plan based on the results of the study. The study utilized descriptive-correlational design, mean and standard deviation was used to analyze the gathered data. Results revealed that the installation of CCTV cameras are very effective in crime prevention as it monitors and records the scenes 24/7 that can help in solving any reported crimes such as theft or robbery incident. Moreover, the installation of CCTV cameras is very useful in crimes against person and crimes against properties as well as in preventing traffic violations because CCTV can be used as evidence in court, and it will help the authorities solve any crimes and when drivers are aware that CCTV are monitoring the roads and traffic, they will adhere to the laws set by the authorities for fear of getting penalized.

Level of Effectiveness of the Barangay Peacekeeping Action Team in Relation to Public Safety and the Implementation of Curfew Hours as Perceived by 50th Barangay Residents

 Abstract: This study utilized the descriptive-correlational design to gather data from 65 respondents in the 50th barangay of Ozamiz City. An adapted survey questionnaire was the main instrument used in gathering data for the study. Results revealed that the level of effectiveness of the Barangay Peacekeeping Action Team (BPAT) in relation to public safety and the implementation of curfew hours as perceived by the 50th Barangay Resident of Ozamiz City was very effective in the level of implementation of curfew hours. While in the problems encountered by the responders during the implementation of curfew for Barangay Peacekeeping Action Team (BPAT) resulted as not serious. As to the level of performance of the Barangay Peacekeeping Action Team (BPAT) the result revealed satisfactory ratings among the BPAT. And lastly, the level of public safety of the 50th barangay residents got a safe rating by the community. The researcher recommended that the Barangay Peacekeeping Action team are encouraged to continue their effectiveness in the implementation of curfew hours and public safety. Furthermore, this study will show the barangay peacekeeping action team's dedication to their duty to maintaining peace and order in their community.

 Abstract: Coronavirus disease (COVID-19) is a newly found coronavirus that causes an infectious disease. Infected patients may develop mild to moderate respiratory infections and recover without the need for specific treatment. Barangay Tanods is at the forefront of maintaining peace and order. They are made up of civilian volunteers who protect the community from irregular forces while also demonstrating their commitment to crime prevention by acting as deterrents to criminals, particularly in places where police are scarce. The BPAT is a national program of the PNP to encourage people empowerment from the community to address the real-time response in case a need arises, be it peace and order, security, or rescue related matters. The study will utilize a descriptive type of research. A descriptive type of research accurately and systematically describes the responses of the population considered in a particular study. The results revealed that the overall performance of barangay tanod was excellent, regardless of age, educational attainment, or gender. There were no significant differences in the performance of tanods divided into different groups. On the other hand, the delivery of BPAT services for crime prevention needs to be enhanced. The goal of this research is to assess the BPAT’s performance during the COVID-19 pandemic in the urban barangays in Ozamiz City, which includes the following: Barangay Aguada, Barangay Carmen Annex and Barangay Catadman in terms of patrolling, cooperation with other barangay officials, and health and safety protocol execution.

The Tales of Barangay Officials in Resolving Community Disputes

 Abstract: Katarungang Pambarangay or barangay justice system is a community-based dispute settlement mechanism that is administered by the basic political unit of the country, the barangay. This system can improve the quality of domestic justice; it would reduce the number of indiscriminate filings of cases before the courts and reduce the number of cases filed there to the courts. The study explored the tales of the barangay officials in resolving community disputes in the urbanized barangays. The participants were selected through a snowball and purposive sampling. It based on the inclusion criteria: 1) Residing on working in the barangay 2) Member of the lupon tagamapayapa 3) Voluntarily participated and signed the informed consent. The selected participants were asked about their experiences in resolving community disputes in the interview. Based on the responses four emergent themes were developed namely: 1) Preservation relationship 2) Faster resolution of problems 3) Economically beneficial 4) Practical agreement. As a result, the researchers concluded that the data gathered from the survey questionnaire and the exclusive interview as a supplement and secondary source for the study implied a clear indication that members of the barangay and lupon tagapamayapa are doing their best in the discharge of their mandated powers and functions to fully serve the interest of their settlement in dealing with the resolution disputes of its experience constituents relatively with the segregation. Based on the findings and conclusions drawn from the study, the researchers would like to recommend that barangay officials have a positive mindset to settle barangays well and administer justice properly. Although it is difficult to contain their opponents' temper, barangay officials are focused on resolving their differences and reaching a negotiated agreement that works for all parties involved and has been successful, success in reaching a peaceful resolution without going to court.

Cloud computing has several benefits, including endless computational resources, cheap cost, security controls, hypervisor protection, instantaneous elasticity, high throughput, and fault-tolerant solutions with increased performance. Since cloud computing is a comparatively recent computing model, there exists a lot of uncertainty about how well confidentiality of all levels, including host, network, data levels, and implementation, can be achieved. As a result, there still are important obstacles to cloud computing adoption. These constraints include security issues concerning privacy, compliance, and legal issues. When databases and software applications are moved from the cloud to large data centers, data management becomes a major challenge. Numerous security issues may develop while using cloud computing, including issues with privacy and control, virtualization and accessibility issues, confidentiality, management of credentials and identities, authentication of responding devices, and authenticity. In this paper, an effort is made to offer a comprehensive review of data security and threats in cloud computing.
